PV Sindhu won SIlver medal for India at Rio Olympics

India’s Pride PV Sindhu defeated Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara 21-19, 21-10 in the semifinals of the badminton women’s singles event at the Rio Olympics on Thursday to book her place in the gold medal match. 

This is unbelievable performance form Sindhu in the second game. She did not let Okuhara settle at any point and kept her under pressure. She made her move across the court and took point after point clinching the second game 21-10! What a dominating play to win the semis! Well done PV Sindhu!

One of the most impressive players this season, PV Sindhu has performed spectacularly well all through the Olympics beating opponents game after game to reach the semi finals. In her quarter final match, Sindhu defeated former world champion and current word no. 2 Wang Yihan with her aggressive play.
